Yup, another blog.
To be fair, I'm not writing this under the assumption that people care what I'm writing. I'm not writing this for the normal ego stroking that goes along with thinking y'all care what I had for breakfast. I'm writing this blog for myself. If in the course of that somebody comes across it that finds it beneficial, that's great. If you find it pointless, that's ok too.
The point? Several months ago I heard a pastor tell the congregation that all people are inherently evil. The idea of we're all sinners and come short of the glory of God. That comment stuck in my head enough and I was unable to accept that everybody is inherently bad. And from there my doubts snowballed. While talking about doubts is often difficult because the person who you're talking to has their own opinions and may want to change your mind, I've found writing to be very therapeutic. I can get my thoughts out of my head onto paper (so to speak).
Feel free to skim through my rants. Right now there's only about half a dozen, but I tend to go through phases where I write a lot. Comment away. I'm pretty much open for any type of intelligent discussion on what I've written. What I'm not willing to listen to is someone shouting "Jesus loves you" or "repent or go to Hell". Now, if you want to share a story from your life about how Jesus loves you, that's fine. Basically, if you want to share, share with something to back it up.

I totally agree with you on this one. When I was a xtian…until like about a year, I always thought it stupid that xtians didn’t want to associate with worldly people. After all, how were they supposed to witness to heathens if they didn’t associate with them?
I invited a gay friend to my wedding (8 years ago). My fundy sister in law said to me, “Sorry, but I don’t think gays are xtians.”
I almost blurted out, “so what?” It didn’t even face her that she was being a bigot.
Her mother (my mother in law) said once, “I don’t have friends in the neighbourhood. They are all non-xtians and some of them even smoke.”
Ignorant bitches. No wonder they can’t accept me in the family. I am Latin American and they are of German descent.
